Phillip Green announced that he had spoke with Robin Woods regarding the mobile units.  They are approximately four weeks away from installing the units, beginning with law enforcement.

Phillip Green also stated that the county wide fire subscription was going good. The last count he received was around 43%.  The date for subscriptions had been extended to August 31.

Phillip commented that the LEPC Conference was coming up August 9-10, 2011 for anyone wishing to attend.

Keith Curlin, Emergency Response Coordinator for the Regional Health Department gave members a copy of the health department’s 48-hour POD plan for review.  These PODs would be set up in the event of an outbreak or terrorist attach such as anthrax.  Citizens in the community would be able to be treated during a 48-hour period for such an event.  Keith noted that First Responders, their families and volunteers would be treated first before opening the POD to the public.  Members were asked to review the plan and make comments or suggestions.  Keith still needs to meet with Danny Jowers and Jerry Vastbinder in securing such a POD operation.

The next meeting was scheduled for August 30 at 10:00 a.m.

With no further business, Joe Garner made a motion to adjourn the meeting, a second came from Tom Menees.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
