MINUTES FROM September 20, 2011, 10:00 A.M.

Regional Health Department


Members present:  Phillip Green, Stan Mitchell, Lori Barker, Tom Menees, Campbell Rice, Charlie Grooms, Brian Davis, Dale Hollowell, Pat Hogan, Shirley Hogan, Robin Wood, Rhonda Hawks, Rob Adcock, Sherri Hanna, Forrest Briggs and Charles Norsworthy.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Phillip Green.

The minutes from August 2011 meeting were presented for approval.  Stan Mitchell made a motion to accept the minutes, and Brian Davis seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

Phillip Green announced that the ICS 300 & 400 classes had to be postponed.  Classes will be rescheduled at a later date.

Brian Davis reported there will be an anhydrous ammonia class at UTM, September 27-29.

Robin Woods reported on the status of the 800 MHz radios.  He stated that they have begun installing these with law enforcement first.  Once they finish with law enforcement they will start working on the fire departments.

Campbell Rice noted that county wide fire protection subscriptions are in; no cut off date has been set at this time.

Phillip Green noted that amateur radios having been causing interference with Baptist Hospital – Union City REMS repeater.  Robin Woods will check on this issue.

Sherri Hanna noted that 911 is still doing trunking tests every Saturday at noon and participation has not been what it used to be.

Rob Adcock stated that they are making progress with the Northwest Tennessee Disaster Services.

With no further business, Stan Mitchell made a motion to adjourn the meeting, a second came from Robin Woods.

The next meeting is scheduled for October 18, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
