OBION COUNTY LEPC

MINUTES FROM MARCH 27, 2012, 10:00 A.M.

Everett-Stewart Regional Airport

 

Members present:  Stan Mitchell, Phillip Green, Charlie Grooms, Tim James, Kelly Edmison, Rob Adcock, Danny Jowers, David Kendall, Sherri Hanna, Sylvia Mallard, Jo Ann Speer, Gary Duren, Gary Lofton, Tom Menees, and Lori Barker.

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Phillip Green.  Phillip thanked the Airport for inviting the LEPC to their facility.

 

The minutes from February 2012 meeting were presented for approval.  Stan Mitchell made a motion to accept the minutes, and Kelly Edmison seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

 

Phillip Green reported that he had spoken with Robin Woods in regards to the status of the rebanding.  The issues should be resolved in the next 30 days.

 

Phillip announced that Green Plains in Obion is providing the second round of rescue operations training starting tomorrow.

 

Phillip announced there is a new guideline for LEPC groups.  Everyone was provided a copy of the Bylaws for the Obion County LEPC.  Phil asked everyone if they would prefer officers serve a 3 year term.  Sherri Hanna made a motion to take the language of the Obion Co. LEPC website (oclepc.wordpress.com) out of the bylaws, and also begin the 3 year term when elections come up in June.  Kelly Edmison seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

 

Jo Ann Speer gave a presentation on theEverett-StewartRegionalAirport.

 

Danny Jowers announced the school in Kenton recently opened up a safe room.

 

At this time, Phillip Green asked to excuse absent members.  Danny Jowers made a motion to excuse absent members, Sherri Hanna seconded that motion.  The motion carried.

 

Stan Mitchell made a motion to adjourn; it was seconded by Danny Jowers.

 

The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the Regional Health Office inUnion City.
