MINUTES FROM JUNE 19, 2012, 1:00 P.M.

Regional Health Office

Members present: Stan Mitchell, Erin Meier, Phillip Green, Kelly Edmison, Rob Adcock, Tom Menees, Lori Barker, Charlie Grooms, Tim James, Gary Duren, Bob Stephens, Robin Wood and Perry Barfield and Rhonda Hawks.

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Phillip Green. Phillip welcomed everyone.

 

The minutes from May 2012 meeting were presented for approval. Tom Menees made a motion to accept the minutes, and Stan Mitchell seconded the motion. The motion carried.

 

Phillip announced the upcoming LEPC Conference in Pickwick on August 7 & 8. Information on the conference is available for anyone wishing to attend.

 

Phillip spoke with Robin in regards to the communication status and reported it was proceeding slowly. Robin said they are about 65-75% on rebranding and had been on a standoff with Sprint.

 

Phillip reported on the county wide fire protection and announced we no longer have a county fire department.

 

Phillip announced one hazmat incident at A & J Salvage that occurred as a result of a lightning strike.

 

Phillip made the LEPC website available for members to post news notes. The site is: oclepc.wordpress.com. Login is: oclepc; password is: ocema2011.

 

Rob Adcock reported that he attended FEMA National Level Exercise 2012, a 4 day exercise.

 

At this time, Phillip Green asked to excuse absent members. Bob Stephens made a motion to excuse absent members, Lori Barker seconded that motion. The motion carried.

 

At this time, the LEPC elected new officers. Stan Mitchell was elected Chairman, Rob Adcock was elected Vice-Chairman and Lori Barker was elected for Secretary/Recorder.

 

Lori Barker made a motion to adjourn; it was seconded by Perry Barfield.

 

The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m. at the Regional Health Office in Union City.
