LEPC Meeting for February

The Obion County LEPC will meet at the Regional Health Office at 10am on Tuesday 22, 2011.

Agenda items will include the selection of the EOC Managers position, Emergency Support Function’s positions, dicussion of the upcoming EMA workshop on March 15, 2011.

Please ensure that a representative from your agency attend the meeting. Business and Industry leaders, please invite a friend from another business to our meeting.

OC Fire Chief’s Meeting

The Obion County Fire Chief’s meeting will take place at the 911 center on this Thursday (2-17-2011) evening starting at 6:00pm.

911 Open House and 20th Anniversary

The Obion County Emergency Communications District 911 office is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary and open house on Sunday 2-13-2011 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

LEPC Meeting

The Obion County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet on February 22, 2011 at 10:00am. We will meet at the Regional Health Dept. in Union City.

.LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING ALONG THE TEXAS GULF COAST TODAY WILL
MOVE EASTWARD INTO CENTRAL FLORIDA BY THURSDAY MORNING. DEEP GULF
MOISTURE WILL OVERSPREAD MUCH OF THE MIDSOUTH THIS MORNING
COMBINING WITH ARCTIC AIR THAT WILL BE IN PLACE.

AS A RESULT…SNOW…HEAVY AT TIMES…WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
AND SPREAD EASTWARD ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH THROUGH THE DAY. SEVERAL
INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA BEFORE THE SNOW TAPERS
OFF LATE THIS EVENING.

TONIGHT. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 3 TO 5 INCHES.

* TIMING: NOW THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS: SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS COMBINED WITH
TEMPERATURES SEVERAL DEGREES BELOW FREEZING FOR THE DURATION
OF THE EVENT WILL LIKELY LEAD TO SNOW COVERED ROADS AND
