OBION COUNTY LEPC

MINUTES FROM DECEMBER 27, 2011, 10:00 A.M.

Regional Health Department

 

Members present:  Phillip Green, Stan Mitchell, Lori Barker, Tom Menees, Charlie Grooms, Rob Adcock, Kevin Younger, and Angie Choate.

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Phillip Green.

 

The minutes from November 2011 meeting were presented for approval.  Stan Mitchell made a motion to accept the minutes, and Tom Menees seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

 

Phillip Green reminded everyone that ICS 300 & 400 classes will be held at TEMA West in Jackson on February 15, 16, 17 starting each day at 8:00 a.m.  Anyone interesting in taking the classes can obtain an application from Danny Jowers.  Prerequisites for the courses are ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800.

 

Phillip Green reported on the status of the 800mhz radio.  He noted that Robin was in hopes to have them all up by March or April.

 

Phillip Green announced there would be a mitigation meeting January 30, 2012 at 10 at the Obion County Sheriff’s Department.  Each town is to have their mitigation plan turned in at the meeting.  TEMA will also be in attendance.

 

Phil reported that 911 still cannot see all the information for the county wide fire subscription, work is still in progress for that.

 

Angie Choate reported for Danny Jowers that everything was running smoothly and on schedule with EMA.

 

Phil reported that a new regulation for LEPC’s in 2012 from FEMA that members that weren’t present at the LEPC meetings have to be excused by the members.  A motion was made to excuse absent members.  Tom Menees made a motion to excuse those and Stan Mitchell seconded the motion.

 

With no further business, Charlie Grooms made a motion to close the meeting, a second came from Stan Mitchell.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for January 31, 10:00 a.m
