MINUTES FROM April 24, 2012, 10:00 A.M.
Regional Health Office
Members present: Stan Mitchell, Phillip Green, Charlie Grooms, Tim James, Kelly Edmison, Gary Duren, Tom Menees, Polk Glover, Kent Treece, Erin Meier, Bob Stephens and Lori Barker.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Phillip Green. Phillip welcomed everyone.
The minutes from March 2012 meeting were presented for approval. Tom Menees made a motion to accept the minutes, and Stan Mitchell seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Phillip Green reported that he had spoken with Robin Woods in regards to the communication status. Negotiations are still in process with Sprint. Phil also reported that Kenton did not receive the VHF grant, and Samburg’s VHF repeater is almost up and running.
Phil noted that the county wide fire subscriptions would be going active July 1 for the next subscription period.
The last item for business was the new Bylaws for Obion County LEPC. Phillip noted they were ready for signature process. The officers have signed the Bylaws and he will take them to the Mayor as well for signature.
Erin Meier from TEMA announced that the new ERG for 2012 will be available soon to the EMA’s.
At this time, Phillip Green asked to excuse absent members. Bob Stephens made a motion to excuse absent members, Lori Barker seconded that motion. The motion carried.
Stan Mitchell made a motion to adjourn; it was seconded by Tom Menees.
The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the Regional Health Office inUnion City.
